Most kids grow up, if they are lucky, knowing four Grandparents. That being the fathers and mothers of their fathers and mothers. But in my case, as a child growing up in the 50's and 60's, I only had two Grandparents "Mama and Papa" Hamiter.
Now this was way before my time, born 8 March 1951, but for those of you that may not know this is the way it progressed. My dad, Clyde L. Hamiter, met and married my mother, Gladys C. Staggs. My dads Mother and my mothers Dad had passed away. After my parents marriage my fathers father ,"Papa" Obe Hamiter, married my mother's mother, "Mama" Mrs. Staggs. And that my cousins is the way it was. That kind of puts another spin on "Go ask you Mother, Mama, Papa or your Daddy" for permission to???.......... John "J.D." Hamiter
